The Designer’s Rearview Mirror

Inspired by Hovering Art Directors, here is an elegantly simple solution for in-house designers everywhere to keep a lookout for looming management.

1. Create a 300x250 canvas and color fill it #000

2. Place it at any corner of your desktop that will give you the optimal angle of the office space behind you and maximize your rearview.

3. The Rearview Mirror will be most successful with glossy glass displays such as those on iMac’s and Macbook Pro’s.

Don’t ever be caught off-guard again. Take that extra two seconds of seeing your hovering art director behind you to remember the scrupulous notes you took and to set up the polite rebuttals in your head.
